Reporting To: Head – Design / Project Director
Job Purpose
To prepare accurate techno-commercial cost estimates for EPC projects, plant & machinery, and process equipment related to Edible Oil Refining, Oleo Chemical,
and Biodiesel industries. The role involves coordination with design, procurement, and project teams to ensure competitive and technically sound proposals.
Key Responsibilities
• Cost Estimation & Proposal Preparation
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for: oEdible Oil Refinery Plants (Refined / Mustard / Soybean / Palm / Sunflower) oOleo Chemical Plants oBiodiesel Plants
• Analyze RFQs, technical specifications, and scope of work
• Prepare BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and BOM (Bill of Materials)
• Estimate equipment cost, fabrication cost, bought-out items, and site execution cost
• Prepare preliminary budgetary quotes and detailed techno-commercial proposals
• Support tender submission with accurate cost breakdown
2. Design Coordination
• Coordinate with process & mechanical design teams for: PFD (Process Flow Diagram) P&ID Equipment sizing & selection
• Review GA drawings and layouts for quantity take-offs
• Validate design inputs for costing accuracy

5. Documentation & Reporting
Educational Qualification
• B.Tech / B.E (Chemical / Mechanical) •Diploma holders with strong EPC experience may also be considered
Experience Required
• 4–8 years in: Edible Oil Refinery Projects, Oleo Chemical / Biodiesel Plant Design, EPC / Turnkey Project Estimation
• Hands-on experience in equipment costing & fabrication costing
Required Skills
• Strong understanding of edible oil refining process: Degumming, Neutralization , Bleaching , Deodorization
• Knowledge of biodiesel production process
• Strong Excel skills (cost modeling& analysis)
• Ability to read technical drawings & specifications
• Good analytical & negotiation skills
Preferred Skills
• Experience in international project costing
• Knowledge of ASME / IS / API standards
• Exposure to SAP / ERP systems
