OPERATIONS MANAGER

We are looking for Operations Manager
Industry: Steel Industry
Salary: Up to ?50,000 per month (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

Overseeing the dispatch team: ensuring timely deliveries, vehicle arrangements and coordination with transporters, packaging standards and accurate dispatch documentation.

·  Supervising plant operations: managing the team, assigning jobs, machine utilization planning, basic troubleshooting, and ensuring daily output targets are met.

·  Coordinating with other team to ensure raw material availability, order planning, and timely job execution based on customer priorities.

·  Maintaining inventory records: inward and outward material tracking, stock reconciliation.

·   Monitoring maintenance schedules for machines and equipment to avoid breakdowns and reduce downtime.

·   Ensuring a safe, clean and organized plant environment and enforcing safety measures for workers and equipment handling.

·   Managing manpower planning: daily task allocation, shift scheduling and motivating the team for productivity and discipline.

·   Liaising with transporters, suppliers, and service providers for smooth operational support.

·  Keeping track of daily production and dispatch reports, machine logs, and sharing regular updates with the management.

·  Identifying areas for process improvement in cutting, handling, and dispatch to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

Candidate Profile:

Good knowledge of Alloy Steel and Carbon Steel grades (MS, C45, EN8, EN19, EN31 etc.).

Experience in production, dispatch, and operations management in steel or related industry.

Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Hands-on approach with ability to manage shop floor activities.

Experience:

6 - 8 years of experience in Steel or manufacturing industry.
