Job Description Senior Position / HOD – Electrical Design Department
Experience: 10–20 years

Location: Faridabad India (working closely with Sweden-based teams)

Role Summary
This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing electrical design activities
and team deliverables, in close coordination with Sweden-based teams. The selected
candidate will manage electrical design from concept to completion for steel plants,
power plants, commercial buildings, and industrial buildings, ensuring technical
quality, compliance with standards, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Overall responsibility for electrical design deliverables, quality, and compliance
Preparation and review of electrical schematics, circuit diagrams, and wiring diagrams
Development and review of single-line and three-line diagrams, load flow diagrams, and protection schemes
Review of electrical panel layouts, equipment arrangements, and installation drawings
Preparation and review of BOQ and material take-o?s
Electrical calculations and studies including load calculations, lighting analysis,
short-circuit, arc flash, fault level & coordination studies, power system design, and hazardous area classification
Electrical design and review for power distribution, control & communication,
lighting, fire alarm, and security systems
Commercial and industrial building electrification, including industrial facilities
Preparation and review of technical reports, feasibility studies, and design documentation
Coordination with multidisciplinary engineering teams and Sweden-based
stakeholders
Technical mentoring, guidance, and supervision of electrical engineers and designers
Ensuring adherence to applicable codes, standards, and project requirements

Qualification & Skill Requirements
Bachelors degree in electrical engineering

Experience
10–20 years of electrical design and leadership experience
Experience working on European / Swedish projects will be a strong advantage
Industries
Strong exposure to steel plants, power plants, commercial buildings, and industrial buildings
Proficiency
Proficency in AutoCAD, Revit, MagiCAD, ETAP or equivalent tools
Knowledge of SS-EN standards (e.g., SS-EN 436 40 00)
Ability to work independently and take ownership of department-level responsibilities
Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office
