TECHNICAL ASSISTANT- TO MD (ENGINEER)
Position Title - Technical Assistant to Managing Director (Engineering & Special Initiatives)
(Also referred to as: Technical Chief of Staff – MD Office)
Reporting To - Managing Director
Location - Head Office, Oklha, Delhi (with site visits as required)
Role Purpose
To act as the MD technical, analytical, and execution partner, independently solving complex engineering and business problems,
driving MD-led initiatives, and representing the MD in technical and strategic matters.
This role goes far beyond coordination and requires strong decision-making, maturity, and ownership.
Key Responsibilities
A. Technical Analysis & Problem Solving
• Independently review and analyze DPRs, BOQs, RA Bills, drawings, claims, deviations, and progress reports
• Identify cost overruns, schedule risks, constructability issues, and contractual exposures
• Convert complex technical data into clear decision briefs for the MD
• Anticipate problems before they escalate to MD level
B. Special Initiatives (MD Mandate)
• Lead cross-functional initiatives such as:
• Cost optimization
• Productivity improvement
• Delay recovery / turnaround projects
• Process improvement
• Coordinate with Engineering, Planning, Contracts, Finance, and Site teams
• Own initiatives end-to-end with timelines and measurable outcomes
C. Representation of MD
• Attend technical reviews, internal meetings, and discussions on behalf of the MD
• Engage with Project Heads, Consultants, Vendors, and Clients when required
• Ensure MD directives are clearly understood and executed
D. Strategic & Executive Support
• Prepare concise, insight-driven briefs (not reports)
• Track key project and business KPIs
• Support long-term planning, capex decisions, and organizational improvements
• Act as a confidential sounding board for the MD
What This Role Is NOT
• Calendar or travel management
• Routine coordination or follow-ups
• Administrative EA responsibilities
(A separate EA already handles these.)
Required Profile Mandatory
• B.Tech / BE (Engineering) – mandatory
• MBA – strongly preferred
• 10–15+ years experience in Engineering / EPC / Infrastructure / Manufacturing
• Strong exposure to project execution and commercial aspects

Salary
• 2L to 2.5L CTC Monthly
