Urgent Hiring – Head of Department (HOD) – VMC Division

Position: Head of Department (HOD) – VMC Division

Experience: 12–18 Years (Minimum 5 Years in Leadership Role)

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Manufacturing Engineering (MBA in Operations preferred)

Industry: Automotive / Precision Engineering / Heavy Engineering / Aerospace / Industrial Equipment

Location: Sector-6, Faridabad

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage complete VMC machining operations to achieve production, quality, cost, delivery, and safety targets.
Develop and execute production plans while ensuring optimum utilization of machines, manpower, tooling, and resources.
Monitor machine utilization, OEE, cycle times, productivity, and capacity planning.
Drive process optimization, machining improvements, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement projects.
Ensure timely availability of raw materials, cutting tools, fixtures, gauges, and consumables.
Coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize machine uptime.
Manage tooling selection, tool life monitoring, fixture management, and machining accessories.
Control machining costs by reducing cycle time, downtime, scrap, rework, tooling consumption, and energy usage.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, 5S, and all safety standards.
Lead, mentor, and develop production teams to achieve operational excellence.

Required Technical Skills
Strong expertise in Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) and multi-axis machining.
Hands-on knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Haas, or similar controllers.
Good understanding of CAM software such as Mastercam or SolidCAM.
Expertise in machining process optimization, tooling selection, cutting parameters, and fixture design.
Strong knowledge of GD&T, engineering drawings, tolerance analysis, process capability, and precision machining.
Knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, hydraulic & pneumatic fixtures, zero-point systems, coolant management, and machining economics.

Candidate Profile
12–18 years of experience in VMC machining.
Minimum 5 years of experience leading VMC manufacturing operations.
Experience in high-volume precision machining environments is essential.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, planning, and team management skills.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
MBA or postgraduate qualification in Operations Management is desirable

Maintain high standards of housekeeping through 5S implementation.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other applicable management systems.
