PRESS TOOLING DESIGN ENGINEER

Post - Press Tooling Design Engineer
Qualification - B-tech, Diploma in Mechanical
Engineering or Tool Design.
Experience - 1-3 years of experience in press tool
design, preferably in automotive or aerospace sectors.
Location - Prithla, Gadpuri, Faridabad

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop press tools (progressive, compound, and stage tools) for sheet metal components used
in automotive, aerospace, and energy applications.
Prepare detailed CAD drawings, 3D models, and assembly layouts using industry-standard software.
Conduct feasibility studies, tolerance analysis, and DFM (Design for Manufacturing) reviews.
Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure tool performance and reliability.
Optimize tooling designs for efficiency, cost reduction, and sustainability.
Troubleshoot tooling issues and provide engineering solutions to minimize downtime.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and GNE’s quality benchmarks.
Support continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing and 5S practices.

Qualifications & Skills
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, CATIA, NX, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
Strong knowledge of sheet metal forming processes, materials, and tolerances.
Hands-on experience with tool manufacturing, assembly, and validation.
Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and precision.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Attributes
Experience in progressive tool design for high-volume production.
Familiarity with simulation software (AutoForm, HyperForm) for tool validation.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, and CAPA processes.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver within deadlines.
