About the Role
We are looking for an experienced PLC Programmer to design, develop, commission, and maintain industrial automation and control systems. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in PLC programming, HMI/SCADA development, industrial communication protocols, and troubleshooting automation systems in manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and commission PLC programs for new and existing automation systems.
Develop and configure HMI & SCADA applications.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and control panel drawings.
Integrate PLCs with HMI, SCADA, VFDs, servo systems, sensors, and industrial equipment.
Perform system testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and optimization.
Support machine commissioning and start-up activities at customer sites.
Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, and Controls Engineers on automation projects.
Prepare technical documentation including I/O Lists, Control Narratives, Functional Specifications, and Program Change Logs.
Optimize PLC logic to improve system performance, reliability, and safety.
Conduct root cause analysis and resolve automation-related production issues.
Ensure compliance with industrial safety standards and company procedures.
Provide technical support and training to maintenance and production teams.

Wonderware
Knowledge of Industrial Communication Protocols:
Profinet
Ethernet/IP
Modbus RTU/TCP
DeviceNet
Strong understanding of industrial automation systems.
Excellent troubleshooting skills for PLC hardware and software.
Ability to read electrical drawings and control panel layouts.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to travel for commissioning and client support.

Preferred Skills
Experience with Motion Control and Servo Systems.
Robotics Integration.
VFD Programming & Commissioning.
Safety PLCs and Functional Safety Standards (ISO 13849 / IEC 61508).
MES/ERP Integration.
Control Panel Design and Electrical Wiring.
Experience in Manufacturing, Automotive, Packaging, Food Processing, Pharmaceutical, or Process Industries.
