Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented Sheet Metal Fabrication Design Engineer withexpertise in designing products such as cable trays, server racks, industrial storageracks, enclosures, and frames. The ideal candidate will have experience workingwith various manufacturing technologies including laser cutting, turret punching, CNC machines, hydraulic machines, and MIG welding. This role requires a deepunder standing of sheet metal fabrication processes, design principles, and hands-onexperience with industry-standard equipment. Key Responsibilities:
Design sheet metal products, including cable trays, server racks, industrial
storage racks, enclosures, and frames using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools).
Utilize various manufacturing technologies, including laser cutting, turret
punching, CNC machines, hydraulic machines, and MIGwelding, tocreate efficient and precise designs.
Create detailed technical drawings and 3D models, including all necessarydimensions and specifications for production.
Perform engineering calculations and simulations to verify product durabilityand functionality under different conditions.
Select appropriate materials based on project specifications, cost
considerations, and industry standards.
Ensure designs are manufacturable with available technology and resources, providing clear instructions for fabrication.
Collaborate with the production team to resolve any design or manufacturingissues that may arise during the fabrication process.
Conduct prototyping and testing to validate product performance andensurequality standards are met.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements
throughout the design and fabrication processes.
Coordinate with suppliers and external vendors to source materials andcomponents required for fabrication.
Develop assembly instructions, technical documentation, and ensureall
designs adhere to customer specifications. Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or arelatedfield.
Proven experience (3+ years) in sheet metal fabrication design, with specific
experience in laser cutting, turret punching, CNC, hydraulic machines, andMIG welding.
Strong proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) andcreating3D models.In-depth knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes, including laser
cutting, turret punching, CNC machining, hydraulic forming, and MIGwelding.
Strong understanding of material selection and properties for sheet metalproducts.
Experience with product testing and quality assurance processes in fabrication.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to find creative solutionstodesign challenges.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Ability to prepare manufacturing and assembly documentation, ensuringclarity for production teams. Preferred Skills:
Experience in custom design and fabrication of industrial enclosures, racks, orframes.
Familiarity with ERP, PLM, and other manufacturing software systems
Knowledge of industry standards and certifications (e.g., ISO, ANSI, UL, etc.).
Previous hands-on experience with sheet metal cutting and welding machines.
