QMS ENGINEER FOR RUBBER INDUSTRY

Key Responsibilities
Maintain and implement the Quality Management System (QMS) as per ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
Prepare, update and maintain quality documents, SOPs, work instructions, formats and quality records.
Coordinate internal audits, external audits, customer audits and certification audits.
Handle non-conformities (NCs), corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and follow up on action closure.
Conduct root cause analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram and other quality tools.
Monitor incoming material, in-process and final inspection documentation.
Maintain quality records related to rubber mixing, compounding, moulding, curing and finished products.
Coordinate with Production, Purchase and Quality Control teams to resolve quality issues.
Track customer complaints, rejection rates, rework and process defects.
Ensure proper calibration and maintenance records of measuring instruments and testing equipment.
Monitor supplier quality documentation and support supplier audits.
Prepare quality reports, audit reports, rejection analysis and other QMS-related MIS.
Support continuous improvement activities to reduce defects and improve product quality.
Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements and applicable quality standards.

Required Skills

Good knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and QMS documentation.
Experience in rubber manufacturing, rubber moulding or rubber component industries.
Knowledge of internal audits, CAPA, 8D reports and root cause analysis.
Familiarity with 7 QC Tools, 5 Why Analysis and Fishbone Diagram.
Basic knowledge of rubber testing, including hardness, tensile strength and elongation.
Good command of MS Excel, Word and quality documentation.
Strong coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Internal Auditor training for ISO 9001:2015.
Knowledge of IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA and SPC for automotive rubber component manufacturing.
Experience handling customer and certification audits.

Candidate Profile
The candidate should have practical experience in QMS documentation, audit coordination, CAPA management and quality-system compliance within a rubber manufacturing environment. The candidate must be capable of maintaining accurate records and coordinating with different departments to ensure consistent product quality.
Candidates with relevant experience in rubber moulding, rubber components or polymer manufacturing.
